I am particularly concerned about the new regime in US. It seems to be consumed with hate and revenge, The Biden administration performed admirably and the Trump administration is usurping that and tsking credit for all the good that his predecessor achieved.

If you think the Biden administration performed admirably, they your idea of performance standards are very low. The majority of American people thought otherwise, and that is why there was a last minute withdrawal, and an equally poor candidate in Harris replaced him. The reason for this was the massive election donations had been made to the Biden/Harris ticket, and could not be applied to another candidate.
The tragedy is that 2 such low calibre candidates contested the presidential election 2020 and 2024 Presidential elections, in a country that is far from bereft of talent.
We don't like Trump because he is transactional, well there is a major area where the so called free world has freeloaded on America, namely they have outsourced their National Security and Defence to the USA, this applies to all the NATO countries and also to Australia. We have all opted for Social Security over National Security and sheltered under the American Defence Unbrella, and it was only right that Trump called a halt to that. Border protection is becoming a major concern for most relatively affluent societies, and this issue resonated with working class Americans, equally, American big Business stopped making product in the US and outsourced American workers jobs to other countries to increase their profits, this resonated with the large numbers of American workers who have lost their jobs or feel their livelihoods are at risk. These are the people that elected Trump, and he is delivering on what he promised to the people who elected him,notwithstanding that it is a wrecking ball to International trade. Good God, America has a President who is putting America first, pity our politicians don't seem to be able to put Australia first.
I personally don't like Trump,I think he is a loud mouthed slob, but then I don't, and nor do you, get any say in American elections, we just have to learn to live with the consequences.
