Interest rates will always continue to rise AND fall.
In my lifetime, housing mortgage interest rates have been at a high of 17% with 2nd mortgage interest at 25% and low to 4% and anything in between.
Interest rates will always be manipulated to suit the economy, be it good or bad is not important to the powers that control it.

Yes. Inflation isn't under control at the moment and with more payment handouts that people will spend it means the interest rate will continue to increase. If wages start to rise that will also put pressure on inflation again.
