So... with the close of the Sydney Film Festival over the weekend, did you watch any of the 100's of films that were shown this year?

It'd be great to hear from you if you have any recommendations - fingers crossed they'll be out on general release over the coming year.

Here's a list of some of them with ratings out of 10 from myself and other film enthusiasts:

La Vie En Rose 6/10
Hallam Foe 8.5/10
London to Brighton 7/10
Rescue Dawn 6/10
After the Wedding 8/10
Alice's House 4/10
Paprika 7/10
Black Snake Moan 8.5/10
Red Road 9/10
The Bridge 7.5/10
Death at a Funeral 10/10
Hot house 7/10

I am not lucky enough to be heading for Sydney for the film festival. However, I did see a really good Bollywood film at the travelling film festival called "Chak De! India" It was heaps of fun. Thanks for the recommendations Eddie. :)

I know members can't start a topic....but who likes TROPFEST?

It is on again in two weeks 17th February.

Always worth heading to watch it live.

I saw Death at a Funeral, it was funny and whatever but I felt that the story didn't lead any where, a change of location would have been nice. I don't think it quite deserved a 10 out of 10, but thats your rating not mine :)
