Home-cooked meals end up much cheaper than eating out. Try to avoid eating out where I can, or going out just for dessert and drinks.
Bulking food up with cheaper foods e.g. spaghetti bolognese mince - half lentils and half beef mince to bring the price right down.
Trying to grow things in veggie patch at home; buying fruit & veg in season. Eating healthy so each bite counts for nutrition.
Buying essentials only and avoiding extras when things are tight...

Switching brands and buying the cheapest options when possible
Thinking twice before placing in my trolley
Only buying what I need
Shopping around
