I read so many books that mostly they become blurred, titles and authors together. I read while TV ads are on, at the Dr, on the bus. I just cant sit and do nothing

“Serenity” has been my ultimate movie. Engaging characters, good storytelling snd rounds up the series. It also has lots of good eye candy. “John Wick” has also had me loving the brooding leading man who ‘rights wrongs’. The third is “Wonder Woman” - the ultimate in female empowerment.

Love your selection too June! When you mention Katherine, you remind me of the magic of Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner! Speaking of Tracy, have you seen The Mountain, opposite a very young Robert Wagner.
Yes, you're right, some great movies throughout 40s and 50s. No CGI, very few special effects, just great directors and actors performing equally great stories.

I LOVE Frequency!! I have the DVD so have watched it several times. I was going to add it to my list of three too!

Frequency does tick a lot of boxes for me. i love time travel movies; my father passed way when I was young so there is that angle; denis quaid is a quality actor; and its a really great concept for a movie

What an impossible question to answer, Harry. I see you didn’t nominate your top three movies.
There was I time when I would have jumped at my top three movies, but as I’ve often reflected on my selection of the top three movies, I’ve realised that it continuously changes…and as you can see the impossibility of answering this question has led some respondents to respond in genres rather than actual movie titles.
What I will say is that I absolutely LOVE movies, they are the best bit of escapism you can find. You can walk away from them as either completely entertained, educated, puzzled, happy, sad, terrified, more aware of your sense of self, or returned from worlds in distant galaxies; they are the best.
For the sake of your question, I’ll nominate three of my faves:
• To Kill a Mockingbird
• Twelve Angry Men
• Stand By Me
As long as you accept that they’ll be different every time you ask me.
But thanks for asking. 😊

I too was hard pressed to give only three answers. I cheated and gave three for this month.
