Can anyway put it into words what's going on with this stock piling of Toilet Paper? Everyone I know and have spoken to can't understand it either. The Corona virus doesn't give you the 'runs' as far as I know. So why the panic buying?

I reckon it was an agenda driven by The Board of Kimberley - Clark to make all shareholders over night millionaires.

I think most of the horded paper is being shipped over seas to china just like baby foormula and hand sanitisers so much has been scanned at the air port

It so strange, especially considering there is so much discussion about climate change and people don't react that way, in fact they seem to ignore it.

Not sure why they are all stock piling toilet paper , unless they are like me l ran out 21 years ago on Xmas day and vowed l will never run out again from that day on , so as l have spare room in the end of toilet l have ever since packed 36 and 38 packets to the ceiling , every one thought l was mad , that was until now , l never had to buy any at all l decided to leave the ones in stores to people that may want them .l have around 350 rolls at present so my stack is down a bit some times l run 2 stacks side by side , had a lady come in one day and came out of my toilet saying Glenice l am so worried about you , l said why is that , she said those toilet rolls in there , l said oh yes l am so worried l had 500 they are down to about 290 at present , well she aughed her head off , but yes l am not looking so silly any more to many who use my toilet it appears ., the only thing l am worried about is how many know what is in one end of my toilet room now .

I am currently in Mexico and until now spent time in USA, I am unable to get back now because all borders are closed and planes are somewhat difficult. But that aside, I have been watching Australia and seeing all the people blaming everybody for being stupid etc. Australians are not the only people doing those things, it is exactly the same in US and in Mexico, the difference in Mexico is that there is no help and no one to complain to so to the whingers in Australia - Wake up, there are other people doing it worse than you!

11% of people have reported diahrea and vomiting 2 days before the virus set in..maybe this is why !

Like wendel I can not understand why on earth people are hoarding toilet paper unless it is a new source of food and is full of nutritious substances. The supermarket I visited yesterday was completely empty of this item and tissues as well. These people who are doing this hoarding should remember there are others in need of these products especially the old aged pensioners and those with disabilities!

It is really becoming a joke. I saw that clip of women fighting in a Woolies store over toilet paper shown on the Daily Show in the US.
I just cannot understand any type of panic buying, what are these fools going to do once this passes, and it will, set up flea market stalls selling the surplus of everything they have panic bought.
On a brighter note, I have heard that Woolworths is partnering with Meals on Wheels to make deliveries to their clients, if so it is good to see.

Its beyond comprehension. Australians rallied together in the bush fires and the floods but it is every man for himself when it comes to toilet paper. Those stock piling the toilet paper should give thought to the elderly who cannot jump on the toilet paper when it is delivered to the shops. Where I live they are taking it off the pallets before it hits the shelf.

Well now Woolies are not letting people return the massive stack of loo paper etc. Silly folks may now have to starve for a while.

It's the 1 thing u don't want to run out of esp if locked away for 14 days in quintien. You can't flush anything else and who wants to use the hose .

Crazy, isn't it? Toilet paper? It's SOAP we should be stocking. Hundreds of BARS of the stuff. Then, if it disappears off all the shelves, we really could say it's a 'deBARcle', as Wendel calls it... .

Love you humour Brad, yes, soap is a great way to keep our hands clean and to stop germs spreading.

Hi Wendel,
Like yourself & your friends I'm really mad about these inconsiderate idiots buying all the toilet paper & listing it on eBay at outrageous prices. As a sufferer of Crohn's disease, I've had so much trouble trying to even buy 1 packet, it's causing me so much stress, which doesn't exactly help my condition.
I don't do any anti social media as I call it, so I'm wondering if these idiots are getting told via that platform to panic buy?
Also heard Chinese people are buying it to send home like they do with the baby formula?
I really can't understand it.
I have an elderly mother, who isn't very mobile, so trying to buy toilet paper for the 2 of us is just so difficult.
I just wish people wouldn't be so selfish & think just once about other people.
I know it's wishful thinking.
Such a sad society Australia has become.
I'm in Adelaide, if anyone knows where I can purchase any. Went yesterday & Woolworths had none.

I have been told the self gets stocked at night and you have people waiting at the doors when it opens at 7am. No sooner the doors are open the paper is gone.

Yes i can not believe the way that this corona virus has created mayhem with Toilet Paper,it has been so hard to come by and even on the weekend at our Local Aldi we were lined up at 7.30 and the young assistant came and addressed the hordes of people before the shop was open, she told us that if there was running, screaming and yelling she would ring the police, workers do not need this this they are only doing their job

Only those that buy it are the fools, if they pay over and above what it's worth!

Nope. I spoke to family from UK and they know people in Canada, doing exactly the same thing. I realize that this virus can cause diarrhea so need plenty of toilet paper in case, but you can stil think of other things you would want to stock up on as well as.

I've got to admit, I'm as confused as you are, why people are stock piling toilet paper? Among my friends and family we can think of better things to stock pile, like, beers, snacks, lollies, etc......
