The way the World is changing

Is it just me or has the world gone mad.
So much is changing so very fast, I'm in my 70's and to me it is way too fast. I come from a slower time when people cared about each other, people had manners and respect, there was crime sure but nothing like today. There are transwomen who say they are "real Women", people who say their pronouns are " they, them, us, whatever", people who say they are animals, people having relationships with Trees. I mean it is all just so crazy isn't it , where does it stop, I have no problem with people being different or strange as we would say years ago my daughter is Gay, I have a cousin and nephew who are gay, I know a lot of gay people , men and women and I have no problem with them.
Why is it that people cannot just be what they want , do what they want without pushing it down peoples throats and wanting to force others to accept them. People either accept you as you are or they don't that is how it has always been. You do not demand respect and acceptance , it is earnt.
One thing that I really hate at the moment is the word Cis-women, there is no such word, and I find it very offensive to all women. There is no such word it is made up.
I have no problem with a transwoman who actually looks like a woman using a female bathroom, what I find uncomfortable is being at the train station with no one else in the bathroom and coming out of the stall and finding a 6 foot man with a beard , make up , and a dress on , I personally found this very confronting.
I do not know if it is that I am just old and a fuddy duddy as we used to say , but I feel all women have the right to feel safe and comfortable in certain places.
Am I being over dramatic .

Social norms have changed. I do believe we should accept people as they are, but that doesn’t mean we need to know every detail of their identity or act as their therapist to prove that acceptance. Sometimes simple respect and privacy are enough.
I don’t feel that gender or sexual orientation is important in most everyday interactions. I don’t ask people about it, and I don’t see why it needs to be announced. In brief encounters, it often feels like oversharing — especially when there’s no personal relationship or emotional connection. I understand that for some people it may be about protection or self‑preservation, but from my perspective it still feels unnecessary.
Regarding the bathroom situation, I’m genuinely sorry that you felt unsafe — and I also recognise that the other person may have felt unsafe or uncomfortable using male facilities.
