I cannot believe how the shops are relegating Christmas to just a few aisles. The decorations are up in October and now it is just over 2 weeks to Christmas and the department stores don't look at all Christmasy. I noticed it last year as well. Bring back the Christmas feel until Christmas.

I prefer a minimalist approach where Christmas isn't rammed down my neck. I saw the humbug toy in Myer and thought he was great. The shops may have that approach as they know people are struggling and can't afford many items, and therefore feel they are being respectful of the economic climate.
