Fire Ants

What does everyone think of the fir ant treatments that the Government is doing, all the spraying, what they are using, and how they are going onto peoples properties even though those people have said they do not want it done on their land.
I have been reading about it from a lot of different sources, it seems that what they are using is making people and animals sick where it has been sprayed.
My sisters horse got very ill and half her chickens died and all her native bees she had have died, after it was done around their house.
When they spray from the air it is going into the local lakes dams and waterways.
Our native animals apparently are also being killed form it.
I have heard some so called experts say it is the only way to get rid of the ants, and others say it is not killing them only everything else.
I sometimes wonder why when things have been shown to be causing a lot of damage, why does the government insist on continuing with the program. And what can people do.

The government is using chemicals to try and stop fire ants, but many people say the spraying is making animals, bees, and even people sick, and it’s getting into waterways. They keep doing it because they believe fire ants are a bigger danger if left alone.
If you’re worried, the best things people can do are:
- Report any harm to animals or health after spraying
- Join with others to raise concerns
- Push for safer alternatives and more transparency.
