Do you usually donate to any institution at Christmas?

Yes, I believe donating is important not just at Christmas but throughout the year, especially given how challenging things are for many families right now. If you’re in a position to help, it can make a meaningful difference. In Australia, organisations like the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul Society do incredible work supporting those in need, particularly over the festive season. Another great option is Foodbank Australia, which provides essential food supplies to struggling households.

Christmas can be a particularly tough time for some families, and it’s heartwarming to see so many Australians stepping up to give back. Whether it’s through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or donating goods like toys or food hampers, every contribution counts. Do you have a particular charity or cause that resonates with you?

No, I don't. I don't see the need for "special food" for Christmas as any food will suffice. Also, children only expect gifts as part of all the hype and it is a comparison with others and fear of missing out. Toys at Christmas are also unnecessary.
It is better to live within your means and prioritise needs over wants, even at Christmas. So, really I wish all the marketing and advertising around Christmas would cease.
