Who else like to watch Black and white movies from the 1940's, and also the Movie serials?

Not for me.

I can't say that I go out of my way to look for movies from the 1940s, but I do love my movies. That said, the 40s was a golden time for movies that are today, considered classics. Some that immediately come to mind are:
- Casablanca
- It's a Wonderful Life
- The Great Dictator
- The Maltese Falcon
- Citizen Kane
And another favourite of mine, To Kill a Mockingbird, but that's from the 60's.
I have a friend who would turn his nose up at these titles simply because they're not in 4K and black and white... LOL, his loss. For me, the period was a time when movies were more about telling the story and less about spectacular effects.
