I don't compare generational music. It is specific to a time, how people communicate, express themselves, what they care about, pop culture and social issues.
There are also many different genres of music that people are not spoilt for choice and are more than likely to find one or two genres that suit their taste in today's society. The amount of choice is better today as it covers everyone's taste and music is more readily available to connect with along with artists. Music has been limited more and more as you travel back in history and controlled.
