In our effort to protect children from harming themselves are we hurting older citizens?,
i buy medication and cannot open the container with its twist and turns safety features,
This also applies to cleaning fluids and household products,

Life is really difficult for old hands.

Have we gone too far?

Yes, I think the safety measure to protect children does make it very difficult for older people to open and use the products. I feel I would find it very frustrating as an older person. Many of the products are intended for use by adults and not the children.

I feel a better solution is a locked cleaner and chemical cupboard and a locked medicine cabinet in every home. That way older people could use the products they buy and require, and the children are still protected (which ultimately is a supervising adult responsibility).

Yes and no I would say, preferably because of the young children going through body changes, and there emotions will go up and down,
