are we all still travelling?

Hi everyone, with so much unrest all over the world and most feeling the financial pinch are we still travelling?
I think yes, we are. Maybe just picking up a weekend special deal or a last minute getaway. But yes Australians love to travel and we are still putting our breaks pretty high up in our wish lists.

Yes, people still want to get away and have a break from the daily grind. Airports for international travellers outbound is apparently very high. Of course, it is summer in Europe, US etc so people are also chasing the warmth. Sporting events are prolific this time of year too.

Hi Tina
If activity at our airports is any indicator, yes, we are, feeling the pinch and travelling.
Personally, if I was feeling the pinch, the first thing to scratch off my list of things to do would be – travel (particularly overseas). That said, all the really good places involve long haul flights and at this stage in my life I flatly refuse to sit up for 24 hours (incapable of sleeping). To make matters worse, the airlines in their ‘wisdom’ to maximise revenue have squeezed in an extra row of seats so close that now, you’re shoulder to shoulder with sweaty armpits cramped into seats so close together it’s impossible to avoid the gaseous releases from the traveller in front.
No no no no, I can’t afford to fly business class (and actually lie down) so forget it… I’ve seen enough of the world. Apologies, I think I’ve strayed off topic. 😂
But yes, it seems we’re travelling…all pinches aside. 😊
