When people say Chinese/Asian food, I have a chuckle.
There are soooo many varieties of Asian culture, it's not as simple as one would think. China alone has many different styles, whereas the word Asian encompasses China, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, etc etc.
Personally I like food from all around China and Hong Kong, but I'm from the latter, so it's no surprise there.
But don't get me wrong, I love all cuisine, including the rest of the world.
One particular stand out at least in Adelaide is Ethiopian. Served on inari (sp?) bread and with all these little dollops of flavour. Just a wonderful experience.

Thai food - most Thai restaurants are good.

Missy Sarah

I like Chinese food from a Chinese restaurant.

As long as it's not raw fish, I can handle most foods, also not TOO spicy.

If you're in Adelaide, try the Malaysian food at Warong, especially char kueh tiao, which is soy sauce stir fried flat noodles.
If you're in Melbourne, you have to try beef pho (Vietnamese rice noodle soup) or bahn mi (Vietnamese bread rolls with roast pork inside) from Springvale.
The Korean BBQ restaurants around Melbourne CBD are also some of the best. My favourite ones are ChangGo and Bornga.

I'm an Adelaidian and have travelled around Australia looking for comparable Vietnamese foods in other states. While it's likely improved over the years, I always come back to Adelaide for the 'best'.

Mexican, and at a divine little establishment in the Gold Coast Hinterland - Mount Tamborine. It's called El Burro Cantina, and serves traditional street food style Mexican- melt in the mouth. The chef makes his own sauces too, which are to DIE for

I love Chinese food or most Asian food as I believe that it's quite healthy with lots of veggies. The Red Dragon is my favourite place to eat.

Absolutely love, love, love Japanese food and we have a little Japanese restaurant just around the corner from home called the Yuki. We have been going there for over 20 years, same owner, same wonderful food and she always acknowledges and greets regulars and even gives little extra treats like free desert and during lockdown when they could only do takeaway she would even deliver our order personally so we didn't have to pay for Uber eats or similar. Would recommend this restaurant unconditionally.

I like different textures in food. I love going out for dinner with friends but I have trouble tasting the food because I was born unable to smell. So textures of the food and any effects from the food such as chilli is a big drawcard. I love the theatrics that goes on with serving different cuisine - the different plates, bowls, etc. At the moment I love Japanese food and the Raw food movement.

I crave good old fashioned home made italian cuisine.

Jezemeg8

My favourite cuisine is the one lovingly cooked and shared with me by one of my many friends.

Dumplings; Chinese dumplings, korean dumplings or whatever asian dumplings. It has almost become their comfort food. Pan fried, steamed or deep fried, OZs love them all. Most suburban streets will have at least one or two dumpling stores.

My favourite cuisine is Singapore chilli crab and best place to have this is Singapore

Italian! My town as a wonderful Italian restaurant that makes their own homemade pasta. It’s quite delicious

Chlo31418798

Vietnamese cuisine - which is well-known for its fresh ingredients, minimal use of dairy and oil, complementary textures, and reliance on herbs and vegetables. Melbourne has some authentic and must-visit Vietnamese restaurants in North Richmond and Footscray areas.

The little snail is a good place to dine. It is an Italian cuisine - as Italian cuisine isn’t well know compare to other cultures. The food is top notch; especially their snails are fresh and tasty 🤤. The place is located at darling harbour with decent access of parking and beautiful view of the harbour. The price is also fit the pocket for a night to dine with your partner.

Love anything soup or Stew, stir fry that has Corriander added to it, at home or outside.

There's an awesome little chinese restaurant in Barooga, NSW. A little town on the Murray River, about an hour's drive West of Albury/Wodonga.
I also really enjoy Baulkham Palace Chinese restaurant.

I don't have a particular favourite cuisine, my mood depends on what i feel like.

Vegan Thai and the best place in Launceston, Tasmania is Lotus Thai Vegan House

Filipino is one of the lesser known foods, nice fusion of Chinese, Spanish and some American influence with peanut butter. Garlic, vinegar and soy are usually the key spices. Hoy Pinoy is a street bbq vendor at Queen Vic market but also there are more places in outer west like Melton, Brimbank and south east like Springvale, Dandenong and beyond. Boodle fight best with groups to share food, first time I heard of it didn't know it was food as sounded like boxing punchup.

Canto and Japanese cuisine will always be my favourite. Crystal Seafood Restaurant in Carlingford is quite good for dim sum in my opinion.

I really enjoy Mediterranean cuisine Italian, Greek and Turkish with my favourite being Italian. Italian food is easy to cook and easy to make authentic and tasty. We as a family eat many Italian dishes which I personally prepare at home to satisfy hunger, share and warm us up this winter such as spag bol, ravioli, fettucine, tortellini, lasagna, canneloni, fish, minestrone, cacciatore, pizza, rissotto, gnocchi and parmigiana.

Kezzaj

Thai and the Lime Leaf restaurant in Pakenham Vic.

I love Japanese and Moroccan cuisine. I love Japanese because of it freshest and Moroccan because of it spices. Best place for Japanese is Okami and for Moroccan Casa Tajine.

I love all kinds of Asian cuisine. They have so much flavour and are so delicious. Beleaguered is a favourite in my locality.

I am from an Ethiopian background and I find Ethiopian food is my favourite. It is so special to be able to access Ethiopian cuisine in Sydney. Especially, as the spices are hard to replicate outside of their origin. We have amazing, authentic Ethiopian restaurants in Sydney including a vegan restaurant in Camperdown and a meat lover's restaurant in Glebe. Each restaurant is adorned with Ethiopian artifacts and traditional Ethiopian music is played on repeat. Dishes are made in the traditional style by Ethiopian Chefs, slow-cooked for hours, and infused with the traditional rich berbere spice. It's a must-try if you are in Sydney.
