Hi There,
I have a rust mark that is on my bathroom basin, I have tried Domestos to try and remove it, but no luck.
I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Have a nice day,
Lise :)

I want the answer to this too and also why does the shower hose go rusty ???and also red pen out of school shirts - a lovely boy drew all over the back of my son's nearly new shirt - not happy

I rub them off with an old toothbrush and white toothpaste....it works and costs nothing! I keep old tubes and open them up....and old brushes especially for cleaning around the taps.

Hi Lise you could try a product called GUMPTION in the laundry/cleaning section of the supermarket its in a white tub with a yellow lid, think a bit smaller than a little margarine container. Its the greatist stuff i have 3 young kids and it even cleans up pen and texta off of a wall without being to harsh like sugar soap which i found wore some of the paint off.

you can use few denture cleaning tablets (steradent) plug the basin and disolve 2-3 tablets in water.leave half hour then rinse. most marks are removed without damaging porcelain.

Metho spirits might work or CLR

to remove a rust mark on ceramic or enamel (such as bathtub) you could try WD40 or kerosene.
jjdrer
WD40 also acts as a lubricant. It works wonders if you have a rusty screw or bolt, or a door lock becomes "difficult". You will need something to remove it from your bath or basin.

Can anyone recommend a good tile cleaner. many thanks
Katch22
clean ceramic tiles with methylated spirits or mineral turpentine if they are greasy. I also steam clean my bathroom and Kitchen tiles afterward to remove the spirits.

Hiya shachah7,
I use Domestos, without mixing it with water, keep the place aired, gets a bit strong, but I have found it to be the best all round cleaner and germ cleaner too.
Good luck

Hiya bushie,
Thanks for your reply, I have made a note of you suggestion with the others, Its great to know people are willing to help and pass on their tips so thankyou I will try it too.
Even better no chemicals, as some times the smell of most cleaners can over power you they are that strong, so thats good to know! Thanks bushie
You also have a good weekend .
Cheers,
Lise :)
