Are there brands that you used to buy that are no longer in your local supermarket? What do you think of all these 'home brands'? Are they just as good as the named brands, are they cheaper, or are you still hankering after something in particular that just seems to have disappeared from the shelves? Give us your opinion.

Our shelves at Woolworths are overrun with homebrand products. A lot of the branded products I used to buy are no longer available in our local store and because we live 3 hours (one way) from the city centre, I stock up when I go there. They seem to think that because we live in the country they can have a monopoly over branded products. I do use some of them, but most of them cannot compete quality wise with a branded product.
