Are there brands that you used to buy that are no longer in your local supermarket? What do you think of all these 'home brands'? Are they just as good as the named brands, are they cheaper, or are you still hankering after something in particular that just seems to have disappeared from the shelves? Give us your opinion.

When I first moved out I brought home brand everything :) I definitely agree that home brand can be just as good as brand name items, you just need to give it a go and see what u prefer. For me it's a question of is it really that much better that I'm willing to pay an extra $2 or $3 or sometimes more for it. Coles brand is my personal favourite. Speaking of brands I can't believe Vegemite isn't Australian owned any more. Dick smiths version ozemite just isn't the same :)
