I have been to it twice so far, and both times moved to tears.

Yes... an absolutely top notch film... but, then, what would it be without Firth and Rush? I have not seen one film in which Rush has made it worthwhile, from Candy to Shine to Quills to Lantana... I feel like i know him personally, having seen him grace the silver screen, well... so gracefully!

It's a wonderful movie which left wonderful impressions on me. The time the King succeeded in his speech, I was moved to tears.

I saw this movie only couple of months back. I like drama and Rush as an actor but wasn't sure on the story however once again was surprised with the story and its humour thrown in. Excellent movie

I saw The King's Speech first with a girl-friend, and then with my husband. We all loved it, and found so much in it. It shows the royal family as people, not just as their positions in society, and shows why Elizabeth, the queen's mother, was so well regarded throughout her life.
I think that it is one of the best movies I have seen, and I have bought the DVD.

Great movie. It shows the build up of a trusting relationship between two very different men. A movie I would watch again.

The best movie i have seen for a long time.I will be getting the dvd when it's released. The time line was slightly altered to fit the scripted ,but that's fine. This movie proves that all you need to make an enjoyable movie is a good script and the right actors.

I have heard so many good reports regarding this movie and will in fact be seeing it tomorrow. I saw Mr.Rush interviewed the other day and was so impressed with what he said about the real man who helped the King. What a fascinating story and to think that a speech therapist from "down under" was the person who helped the King. Apparently the script was left on Mr. Rush's door step and when he read he just knew it was a story that had to be told. I will post my "review" of the movie after I have seen it.

i am going to see it again for the third time tomorrow.

i believe the Queen has given the film her blessing after a private screening of it.

i bet she was moved to tears.

i have a disability which also affects my speech - cerebral palsy, plus i am a sagittarian like King George the vith which is of course a fire sign, and one of the characteristics is the ability to have a temper - you could say it is a way of venting one's frustrations with one's limitations in life.

Absolutely top movie. Firth and Rush are worth the ticket, no doubt about it. My heart goes out to anyone with a speech difficulty. This movies gives and insight of what it's like for someone who is "expected" to perform. It you haven't ... go see it. No bells and whistles, just good drama with a sprinkle of humour.

I couldn't agree more. It has moved me to tears each time i have seen it. He(King George the VIth) certainly had more courage then his older brother that abdicated.
