I see there are currently over 700 million users of mobile phones.... in China. A growing number apparently? This is an amazing figure. A wonder how their radio frequency range can cope.

Radio frequencies and mobile phone frequencies are both sent and received differently and should not have a noticeable impact on each other. I've lived in China for a time and used a phone and radio in the same way as I do in Australia.

Hi ptduhig, I was in Shanghai a few years ago and while driving around the city I noticed that the provider kept changing all the time. While it was slightly annoying I never got disconnected. I would assume that this has not changed much as most of business is at least part government owned.

Just imagine walking down a Chinese street and getting hit by those 700 million gama rays emitting from all those phones. I wonder how many radio waves its would take to become a radio wave tsunami.

I think the answer is that all these frequencies used are line of sight only, not very long range .
