Can't Get That Song Out Of My Head

Ever get a song that you just can't get out of your head. No matter how hard you try it just involuntarily repeats itself.. er that is until you put on the radio, tv or mp3 player and another track substitutes that song and the cycle continues. At the moment I've got Don't Stop Believing by Journey (Steve Perry) on repeat play in my mind. Yes yes, I know it's an oldie. Prefer music from Nickelback nowadays. So, got a tune, song or musical piece that seems to repeat itself long after hearing it the first time?

I hate it when I get "its rainin men" the spice girls as I am a 46 yo straight male and being a guitar player and singer I fear that, as I do sometimes, am gonna break into song and that comes out

I know just what you mean - someone says something and straight away a song from a musical (I'm hooked on musical theatre) suddenly appears in my mind and for the rest of the day, it goes over and over and over. Just recently it was "Do you Hear the People Sing" from Les Mis. I've even been known to have arias from Carmen stuck in my mind - the only problem is, no matter where I am, I usually sing them to myself (but not always silently)

I really hated that "Nah Nah Nah" song that Kylie Minogue sang, but the worst thing was when I heard it....I could't get it out of my head. A song I do like is Train's Hey Soul Sister and then I can't stop singing that when I hear it. I agree about Nickelback, they're really good.

yes !!!! whatever song it is at the time just runs on repeat. sometimes only the chorus! and to get rid of that song you conjure up another one to have repeated over and over again!

I do and then I upset the people around me by telling them and then they get it stuck in their heads. And whats worse is with young children it can be quite embarrassing what I start singing., eg the wiggles or something like it.

Hiya Everyone,
Telephone.... by Lady GAGA, and because of all the fuss about the video, of course people who like her want to see it, and compared to other videos It's alot of hoopla over nothing...or maybe great marketing!......I am lucky as I have been given a ticket to her concert here in Adelaide on April 3rd, as an Easter Present :)Anyone else in Adelaide going alone? that might sound strange as I'm told often, going to places alone, but I am an only child, so I dont really know anything different, My Best Friend who truely is... One In A Million......is unable to come with me.....So like the Robbie Williams Concert in 2006, I'm heading off to see a spectacular show by all reports.

Ah yes.. Haysi Fantayzee sang it in the 80's with all those wacky dance moves. :) Just be glad it's not the Popcorn tune by Gershon Kingsley... now that would drive ya crazy.
