I play in a mixed netball team and I love it. The compition is harder faster and a lot more fun.

I would agree that it's awesome. I mean there are some girls who are as rough as boys and they're some boys who like to be on the gentle side; which makes us all different. I mean they're still a bit of discrimination around the world but we should all agree that we're all different and we can be anyone we want to be.

It really shouldn't matter what gender you are that decides what sports you can play! If males like 'female' games and females like 'male' games, then so what?!? If people thoughoughly enjoyed their game, then let them be.

It is great! Males and females should have the choice and the mixed teams are also a lot of fun.

Yes it is great that male and female play netball but what about the referee's some of them don't know what they are doing, some are for one team and put fouls on the other and some just have no clue of what the rules are. kiwi

I think mixed netball is good for young kids but it would have to mixed. An all boy team vs an all girl team is kinda unfair.

We have a mixed netball comp on the off season of the ladies comp. The men love being able to play a sport with their partners or even to get to know single ladies. It is also a laugh watching 6" men trying to stop when catching the ball when their main sport is AFL.

non contact what a joke
some female players could be playing rugby
not to mention the slegging and foul language that is used and its not always the younger players guilty of it
every seen a punch up by the senior players, ask baulkham hills netball
what a prime example these older players displayed for the younger players

I was chatting to a man who had just finished a game of mixed netball on Sunday - he said he found it harder than football, its very fast and quite intense. Certainly not non contact, even women's netball hasnt been that for years. We have quite a thriving mixed competition playing at Ferntree Gully, in the outer east.

i played a bit of twilight netball(mixed teams) after school and really enjoyed it. doing it professionally certainly isn't for me but i think if you enjoy playing it, then you should be able to go professional. you have male cheerleaders and dancers so why not netballers. though i dont think it would have the following that the females have.

Anyone should be able to play any sport. As long as the play by the rules and farely then there is no problem.

It's a personal choice, everyone should be able to play what they enjoy!

Netball is certainly a game that can be played by both male and female. As a non contact sport the emphasis is on skill and not on strength and brute force. It is very pleasing to see males on a netball court and embracing a game that has been traditionally played by females.

I play netball every Sunday night in a mixed team and love it; however, every now and again, a guy comes along who doesn't think about the fact that he's 6foot something and 100kg and comes running at you for a contest. That's when injuries happen.

Number of males of the team is also strictly controlled; there is never allowed to be more than 3 guys on the court, 1 per third (so one male in either GK or GD, one in either WA, WD or C and one in either GS or GA). If playing short (i.e. with only 5 players), there is only allowed to be 2 males on court at any one time.

Having said that, I love mixed netball, wouldn't go back to girls only for the world!

Each to their own.
People should be allowed to play whatever they want.
