How Many politicians are going to be caught out Abusing the guidelines on using Taxpayers money and Abusing the Privileges of using Taxpayers money.
They are Public Servants, We vote them in, We pay their salaries and this is how they repay us by STEALING taxpayers money when they themselves can afford their own expenses on their salaries.
Investigate the Lot starting with Abbott and Hockey now that the others have been found out, Arrest them , Charge them, Imprison them cause last time i checked Stealing was a crime . Abusing the guidelines should also be punishable by Imprisonment , Sack the Lot .
Replace the lot of them with Honest, Non stealing, Non cheating, No more Promise Breaking Members, ones who do what they are elected to do, do what the public pay them to do, no more guidelines no more entitlements, if they step outside what they are payed to do then they get sacked.

Consider this perspective:
You are a politician. You are provided a portfolio where you are able to access limousine travel to all events and 100 minutes for personal use.
Quandry: Do you make use of the limousine as you are entitled to? If yes, then the public will foreshadow your movements and ask why you are wasting the public purse when you are competent and able to drive yourself. If no, then you need to spend out of your own pocket for your job.

Many people will see the second option to be counter-intuitive to their rights. You should not pay to do your job.

I'm not saying this is how the Government operates, but perhaps there is more to it than what the media portrays

it's called temptation arrogance and greed, and a totaalk lack of accountability, all pollies take what they want, because they decide what they think they should hsve which is way more than anyone else, i'll bet you wouldn't find a single politician that hasn't abused it to some extent, abbott and hockey and bishop are just inthe spotlight at the moment, all have snouts in the trough, the question is '
'how deep is the trough''

The big problem here is that the pollies make the rules, which they do in their own favour.

If we sack them we may have some difficulty in finding honest people who are prepared to open themselves to the criticism that being in office brings with it.
