On the television I saw a man 108 years old and he said the key to his long life is that he does pushups everyday.
I also have seen a woman who was 103 playing active sport.

I also have relatives in their eighties who exercise twice a week and also one still who plays active sport.
I say why not?
"Use it or lose it " is true.
Anyone agree?

Absolutely I agree! There are examples everywhere of old people who are extremely fit and strong, so not only do they live longer lives, they have greater quality of life in their old age. It not only helps with the body but also keeps an alert state of mind. There is a saying in the health world, which is "sitting is the new smoking", as these days people are very sedentary. Sitting was supposed to be something you did to take a break after 6 hours of hard physical work, but now we tend to do the opposite. Even if its not sport, just general movement during the day needs to be increased. So on that note, I'm getting off this computer to get some general exercise (gardening, its a beautiful day!!!).

I keep active everyday, I go for a brisk walk for 30 mins each day,to help with my circulation & help keep my bones strong.

I agree. It goes for a lot of things. If you don't stay active physically and mentally you do lose it. I do regular exercise and do things to keep mentally alert as well. In the long run I feel it will pay off.

I agree. I am in my early 40's and have been going to the gym for about 20 years. I have always gone at least 4 or 5 times a week except for when I was pregnant. I have ladies in my classes who are older and who do Step and Combat which I think is fantastic. I'm sure that will also be me.

My husband belongs to Masters Athletics. He is 80 in April, he complains of having aches in 2 fingers LOL There is hardly a day goes by he does not do some exercise. It has been part of the way he lives his lfe, not all of us find it easy to live life this way. I have not time at present to take this further but I will
