Government & Politics

After watching Question time in Parliament today I could not help but despair at the way each of the Labor MPs quoted the say line (obviously given them by Bill) harping on and on about Tony Abbott and the broken promises?? Why can't these MP's use their own words and not just stick to the same old phrases that have been their 'cry'? Labor seem to forget we have this tough budget because of the mess and debt the Government has inherited. We all knew things were going to be tough and it will hurt some of us. People have got to remember that the handouts and the money wasted on pink bats and school halls by Labor really did nothing to improve life for most of us. Only a few benefitted the rest of us have to now pay for it!

What grieves me is we are and have been the richest asseted nation since ww2. Political correctness has us begging and kowtowing to powers that all but rob us blind under treats of ratings and currency values. We are in a hole because we let foreign interests rape our wealth and we subsidize them to do so at the cost of working mans tax. It is time to tell world bank and the IMF to get out of our business and stop threats to our sovereignty . Imf is nothing but a cabal of filth rich capitalists making sure all assets are set up in nations to grease access and fill their greed.IMF had to register in canada as if the charter they tabled was registered in USA they would be charged at the time for racketeering. Lies you say,,ask your self this since ww2 australia was the only infrastructure set in place to ship raw minerals along with every other commodity we had readily available to rebuild europe and the rest of the world. So were is all the wealth gone?Time to nationalize nation and keep what is ours and our childrens children

Oh the ignorant.Budget mess and debt.Australia has the lowest debt of many of the worlds major companies.8 billion was foisted onto the reserve bank whether they needed it or not to make the budget to seem worse than it was.16 billion allocated for strike fighters that have so many teething problems that they may be inefectual at best.money has been given back to the mining companies with removal of certain taxes to the mining companies.Of course there are the mining companies that rip the guts out of the country and do not pay income tax as their profits are chewed up by ridiculous interest payments to their parent companies in the oldest tax dodge in the books. Our rich have got richer and poor got poor and the wealthy want more with tony abbots help. The tough budget is manufactured and political rhetoric to bring about social change that will see wages and conditions for the less well off severely curtailed.only the wealthy benefit with having tony abbott as australian prime minister.

NO NO NO Cat17 Tony Abbott, and the entire LNP need to be bought to justice, the scare mongering going on is so wrong, read the statics from the treasury........ we were NOT in financial crises, that is why abbott got in.... people do not look for the truth.......... seek and you WILL find the truth.......Meanwhile my disabled son suffers , do you know for example abbott (or any PM ) gets more , hundreds of thousands more then the President of America, Gillard and Rudd got just about (Nearly) half

I would rather Tony Abbott than the so called leader of the Labor party. Remember who left the mess? yes Labor and that's why we are facing tough times. My grandson at 4 is fighting cancer so I...

Cat 17... you are right about Bill Shorten, I have to agree there, but. I do not agree with the rest, I am sorry I guess each to his own opinion, I get very angry, as I have relatives in their 90`s, and they are scared, it is pathetic,to see once proud people being so scared,NO,NO, NO, read financial times, the economy was running fine Cat, you just have to read, also the Australian Treasurery Documents for that time period, The Australian Treasurey is an independent body, so not ALP or LNP.
I realise the PM does not set salaries , the Sitting Parties do. and I wonder why, they think they are worth more then any other Politician in the Whole of the world, be it any party, they are not worth that much.
I am sorry for your grandson, it is not a good thing to worry about, I have been told By medical people that my son has limited time in life . my daughter and grandchildren have the same gene mutation, so I really do understand how you feel.
On the point of Governments, the Government under Julia Gillard offered us more hope, as said I don`t much like Bill Shorten, but the Policy`s under Labor Government where much better for my family`s health issues.

My grandson at 4 is fighting cancer so I do know how hard it is financially for families with serious health issue. Every day I try to come to terms with the worry etc. But I do feel that this government is far better than the other mob. Bill Shorty/sorry shorten has only knocked everything but has come up with no alternatives. The PM doesn't set salaries for politicians.
