When you are expecting, before you know what you are having a boy or girl many people make the mistake saying they want this and they want that but really should parents be happy if they have a healthy child no matter if its a boy or a girl. I know people in this kind of situation where the father has left because he didn't get what he wanted I think that it is wrong!! What do you think

I definitely agree that as long as baby is healthy it shouldn't matter whether you have a boy or girl. And I think as soon as they put that precious baby into your arms you fall in love with it no matter the gender.

So many people have difficulties even having children, so it really annoys me when people have strong opinions about which gender they's "rather" have

when a father leaves his child (due to dissatisfaction) it clearly shows how in reality he didnt care for his family or spouse. those are just vague excuses so he can walk out on a child and the mother. in my case, i am currently pregnant (5 months) and my husband and i have always wanted a boy. of course it is out of our reach to tell God, "i want this so give it to me!" we are just looking forward into having a healthy baby and whatever gender the baby is i know we will love and care for the child.

I believe people should be happy with having a healthy child because there are so many people out there who can't even have children.

I think its ridiculous that someone wouldn't want a child because of its gender. but I don't see why you cant be hopeful for one or the other. half the fun in the beginning is guessing and coming up with names. my husband is hoping that we are having a girl, so on principle I keep referring to it as a boy. but we find out this week anyway.
