I made a pond for my fish and set it up to be a self sustains little Eco system ...fish are easy :-) gecko's & axilota are very low maintenance as well... buying veggies for the guniea pigs & rabbit was getting expensive the way those lil piggies munch through food, so I started a veggie garden and grow my own now...best part is the guniea pigs & rabbit poo is an awesome safe organic fertiliser - veggie garden thrives on it! My cockatiels like to have a munch on the veggies too...it's funny - quite often I get home with 3-4 big bags of groceries, unpack & realise only 1 or 2 of them items will be for me...the vet I go to is great! Dr Hugh Worth from the r.s.p.c.a had a radio show and announced on it was the cheapest vet in melbourne...they'd prefer to keep the costs down so people wouldn't avoid taking their pets to get treated because of the outrages fees some vets charge...if your local it's Heritage Vet on Sydney rd in Coburg...fantastic vets who really care and look after animals...I hit ebay for all my flea treatments, worming, shampoo's, tick washes etc etc - you can get all the same brands offered at the vets or pet store up to half the price...can get a bit hectic at times having so many, they all have very quirky unique personalities that seem to somehow fit...they get attention and entertain each other when I'm not there...at times when I get home I feel they can be,shall we say a little demanding stands to reason I guess when your greeted by 32 pets that are soooo happy your home and everyone starts competing for your attention all at once....i love them all the same & don't play favourites...except for my 15year old blue dog - he's my best mate & has been with me the longest...he's deaf, blind & going senile...I make sure he's got the best comfy spot in the house, gets more treats & spend time with just the 2 of us to reassure the old boy he's the top dog, my number one...he's been my most loyal friend and puts up with all sorts of shenanigans from the youngsters it's the least I can do...

I think pets are only as good as there owners...if we are good to them they will be good to us, and more importantly (especially if you've got 32) they will be good to each other...
