If you aren't 120kg with 8% body fat then you're doing it wrong. Jk, healthy medium is good. Too fat and you die. Too thin and you die. The average person can eat healthy in moderation without being too strict, and with regular exercise, you can see great results.

Either is good, being healthy is the answer, all of this fitness stuff isn't only focused on how do we look, is all about being healthier and happier and to have a better life quality, I've seen fitness models whose diet and exercise routines are not that unflexible, they said the best way to do so is listening to your body. and the body reflects not only the diets and workouts results, you need to do other activities to be healthy and happy as well, such as hang out with family and friends and, why not, sometimes have a free diet day to eat whatever you want, your body will be grateful :)

Balance and knowing your body. BMI is not always an accurate gauge to healthy weight. If you have a high amount of muscle your bmi may indicate your over weight when in reality muscle weighs more fat

You can be larger and healthy or thin and un healthy its about balance and body type - i think everyone is doing the best they can

I think body shape does not indicate your health. Being fat does not mean you are not healthy, and being thin does not mean you are fit. So instead of body shape, being healthy and fit is a better focus

Healthy is good, usually inclined towards thin

Both could be extremely toxic. You may have a perfect physique compared to another or a previous version of yourself. However energised is great but if you eat too many trans-fats for example deep friend / processed foods there will remain a great chance of coronary heart disease and increase in cancer risks. Amongst many of illnesses. As the saying would go true beauty comes from the inside. Although someone appears healthy this is not a certainty same as if they dont look as healthy as another. That said balance is key exercise and eat healthy within balance and within reason. Portion sizes are the rant in this day and age you can eat anything but certain foods eat only the smallest amounts. For pleasure and not to alleviate hunger! :)

Neither of the two are ever a good thing. But when is fat too fat and thin too thin?

The meaning of the two words 'fat' and 'thin' are different to everyone. The main thing is that either sized person is healthy with no medical conditions associated with weight.

Neither!
I am a person who has just recently lost 47kgs, through hard work, determination and health eating and while i am still not happy with my body shape (which i suppose who every will be, we will seem to see our imperfections) i believe FIT is a good fitness goal for anyone.

Ideally you need to be somewhere in the middle because being obese is unhealthy but also being anorexic is also unhealthy. I believe that in order to lead a healthy lifestyle you need to eat plenty of fruits and vegies during the day. It is also a good idea to exercise regularly to get the heart rate and the blood pumping. For example I exercise 6 days a week. I swim 4 times a week and go to the gym twice a week. I am a competitive swimmer and I do just enough exercise to stay competitive.

Neither is good. You want to be fit. Being model thin is not ideal for everyone. True I have Friends that are model thin and eat all the time, don't work out and they gain no weight - its the luck of the draw (our genetic make up). I have other friends and myself that have to work on their body - diet and exercise otherwise they gain weight. Though being really skinny and being able to consume fast food without weight gain doesn't mean your healthy - they are just a fat person in a skinny body. Being obese is not desirable due to the health both mental and physical issues that develop and hinder the quality of life. Balance of good food and exercise is essential for us as human beings.

Neither. I know overweight people who have low sugar, low cholesterol, low blood pressure and can play a game of tennis but also have skinny friends with heart disease.
Unless you are talking about morbidly obese people or those with anorexia - those problems are totally different.

Not too fat or too thin.
Often taking exercise is good for health and body shape.

I think it shouldn't matter when comes to finding love!!! But for health issues I think ur better of being thinner than fat... I take it upon myself to keep fit a heathly not other ppl opions on how I look. Being fit an healthy helps me feel sexy an incontrol of my weight. So I think this question comes down to how u feel most comfy wheather ur fat or thin as long as ur happy with urself :-)

I don't know much about being fat except that it is unhealthy. I have experience with being thin and being muscly.

Being thin makes you weak and vulnerable to viruses and physical stress. Doing physical activity gives you muscle and makes your whole body stronger including your immune system. Doing this physical activity will require you to eat more but just think of it as having more energy. The more energy you use, the more you can eat, the more energy you will have.

Just be healthy, don't worry about whether you are fat or thin, just exercise and eat the right foods (and wrong foods in moderation) and you will be the perfect weight :)

Neither, what ever you want to be is good, as long as you arent too fat or anorexic.

Depends. A bit of fat on you is fine as you can be healthy and a little fat, and same with thin. You can be too skinny and not be healthy. As long as you are healthy and eat right and try to exercise daily.

Not true u can make your self what ever u want. My family are all short and skinny but I am 95kg with a lot of muscle and wil hit 100 soon with about 14% body fat it's up to u to make ur body what u want it just take a lot of hard work and time.

We are all programmed to be a certain weight, just like we are our height. Your optimal shape or size is the healthiest you can be. You can't try to change genetics to be a size 6, if your predisposed to be a size 10. 'Fat' and 'thin' are terms which shouldnt be used when describing someones appearance, we should be using healthy or unhealthy.

I totally agree with this. We are destined to be a certain shape to some degree, it all comes down to genetics. What we should be focusing on being healthy, which includes a good diet and exercise and generally staying active.

Not really, it is our problem and goal to lose weight if we are too fat. you have to work out on your terms

I totally agree, People who are to fat are not very flexable and healthy, nor people who are to skinny.
