Do you think you have to spend a lot of money to be entertained? Does fun have to cost a lot? Whar are some low cost/no cost ways to entertain yourself? I'm running short of ideas!

Picnic, beach days or parks are good inexpensive outings.

No, not at all. Entertainment can be as fun as you are creative. Everybody has the means to create their own fun...especially outdoors.

You are having a go!!
What is entertainment? ... Maybe you think that Nero was correct, when he reportidly said 'give them bread and circuses' in reference to the peasants and this became his methodology to keep them under control.
Why do you not try to develop your intellect?
I have always said that you should have some fun everyday, or else tou could purchase a length of rope!

We grew up on a dairy farm but with droughts etc there was never much cash to splash yet we kept ourselves entertained for very little cost. We used our noggins to have fun yet learn about the world at the same time. We didnt rely on anyone else to generate the fun for us and when we come up to a brick wall these days, we have the resiliance to find a work around instead of just running off for handouts or blaming others. So what did we do.

Second hand bikes gave us mobility. Joining Scouts gave us knowledge and skills, especially the hiking with survival skills taught by a regular Himalya trekker. Learning about nature by exploring the farm, including the creatures around the creeks. Even snakes we learnt to respect but not fear thus letting them be.

An annual family zoo pass means that you can go to the zoo or sanctuary as many times as you like. The great thing about this is that if your children are little or you only have a short time available you can go for as long or as short visit as you like. If the two year old has a melt-down you can just go home and you haven't wasted any money

if you have a family you can have cheap days out together picnicking, going to the beach for the day, play with remote control cars, go fishing by yourself or with someone, go camping for the weekend, visit any local markets, scenic drives with friends or family, bbq's [YUM], byo parties, everyone bring a plate of food and drink to share..
