I just signed up for cafe study and I'm unsure of how to get points. Help please?

I am in exactly the same situation. I have just joined today and I am trying to read all the information available on café study on how to get point, please assist.

I have been a member for a while and am still not sure about earning points. I wait until I am invited to complete a survey and think that is the only way to earn points. Sometimes though it can be a while between surveys.

I have been on while for a while and am also feeling my way through. I get the impression that the more discussions you join in, the more chances you have of being invited to surveys (hence more points).
