Ive lways wanted a big fairytale wedding
Chookie
I am 43 years old, engaged, never married before. My fiance and I plan to keep our wedding very simple. Since my father passed away 14 year's ago the desire to have a church wedding does not appeal to me. In fact, it would be far too painfull as my father can't give me away and walk me down the aisle. We haven't set a date as yet but we plan to elope and get married on a tropical Island in Fiji. This way the wedding will be about us, our love and union. Our promise to live together, through the good times and the bad. When we return, we plan to have a party with our loved ones and friends.

My wedding 23 years ago was in a lovely church and we had our reception at our friends house. The day was went off wonderfully well and even though I had been married before and my husband hadnt it was great to see him so happy waiting at the top of the aisle for my to walk up it.The caterers that catered for our wedding were very professional and a great time was had by all

I'm getting married next year and the biggest things I want from the day besides my loving man is to walk down the isle and to dance at my wedding surrounded by the people I love

We had a smallish wedding (about 40 people including the bridal party), got married on a farm, down near a dam with cattle in the paddock behind us.
I was 4 1/2 months pregnant with our second child at the time.
Hubby and i had planned the whole weding ourselves and engagement - wedding day time frame was just 10 weeks.
We had a simple 2-tiered mud cake as our wedding cake, organised our own wedding music (mp3 with about 6hours of our favourite songs), reception was held in a local RSL club with nice food.
I wore off white 2 piece top/skirt and my R M Williams boots, bridesmaids wore red dresses and their choice of black shoes/heels. We had red gerberas and white lillies tied with red ribbons.
I went to the wedding in a stretch Ford falcon ( i think it was).
It was a simple day, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

I'm planning mine at the moment and would like it to have an elegant look with lots of black, red and creams :)
