I would love to see a reputable auditor go through ALL the State government departments financial records. At the end of 1 year they have to diclose to the general public one of three options. 1 the government is doing a good job and is solvent.2there is room for improvement but generally is ok. 3 We are in deep **** Bankrupt and no where to go.

Do you seriously think this doesn't already happen?! Check out the website of your jurisdiction's Auditor-General and fill your boots.
