Thank you for your valuable advice. I will certainly concentrate on changing the type of life towards a peaceful retirement.

Singham,
One needs to develop an interest outside of their career with a view to developing that as a big part of their life after retirement. It depends on ones interests. Personally I have found that outdoor bowls and fishing makes life after retirement quite interesting.I also spend a fair bit of time gardening including growing roses and vegetables. When I have any spare time I make furniture items and wooden toys. Friends of mine breed budgies and canaries and show these, being members of clubs.Another races pigeons. I am sure that you will find plenty of things to make your life interesting during retirement if you set your mind to it. Too many people see retirement as nearing the end of their life instead of treating it as another phase to be enjoyed to the fullest. Treat your career as a stepping stone to something very different but interesting and rewarding.
