When pregnant with my first child the test was negative and I was already 5 weeks pregnant. I did another test 2 weeks later and it was positive I was told the first result wwas wrong because I was only a few weeks along

i was missing periods for months and the theory the doctor had was something to do with an overactive thyroid

have you carefully read and did the test properly?i had this prob with my 2nd one but it was because i didnt hold d test under the urine correctly, and once i did it showed i was preg.
if this is not the case then it could be a change in your diet,or your cycle..but signs leading to preg variey from morning sickness, tiredness, very hormonal, stress levels raise,or maybe yu shul ask ur doc to have a scan to be extra sure

hi i did 3 tests the first 2 were neg but i was preggers (should have clicked when something happened when it only happens when preggers). when i still hadnt had a period a couple months later i did the 3rd test and it was positive. my guess is that the hormone levels wherent high enough for the home test to pick up.

Hi Caroline, this happened to me too. Both of my pregnancies tested negative. It was explained to me too, that the hormone levels were too low to be detected by the home test, but the pregnancies were confirmed by blood tests a week or so later. Maybe it's just something that happens to us? It's not something I've heard happening very often. Of note though, is that for several months (not around child bearing times) I went on a health kick and switched to soy milk. My cycles stopped! So I went off soy milk and everything returned to normal. I don't think that happens much either!

yip, I have missed two months once and one month quite a few times. (I'm 43 and pregnant with #5)
No real reason for it, but wasn't pregnant any of those times.
In contrast, I had seemingly regular periods early in my first pregnancy, lighter than usual, but still on the right dates, found out when I was about 4 months that I was actually pregnant! Weird but true.
You can think you aren't stressing, but sometimes you keep wondering about it, and the day after you do a negative test, you get your period...good luck. hopefully it is nothing
