I love Dexter!! The (third I think) series with John Lithgow was chilling!! The new series starts in America this week and I can't wait to watch it, especially considering last seasons ending!!

Dexterr is awesome, there isnt much i like on telly, but this is one show i watch religiously since getting near a tell again. I am bummed ive missed some of it, and will be depressed as the series comes to its season close. It is a bit silly at times howw he comes so close to being caught but doesnt, leaves you wondering if its fantasy or not, but there is this feeling in the books. Goodness, isnt jordon chase so evil... yeah loving it : )

I've watched every episode of Dexter since the first series.Even though I'm nearly 80,I love scary ,tense storylines. I think Michael C Hall is a brilliant actor & is perfectly cast as Dexter.I had a hard time imagining Jimmy Smitts as a villian as he was so nice in NYPD Blue, but he carried it off brilliantly & I cheered when he got his usual Dexter end. I hope we get another series of this great show. Joanie

I'm the same. The Brits really do it best I think, although the Danish version of "The Killing" was gripping. If you're interested a new series starts next Wednesday. To me though the absolute best...

We certainly like the same shows.I haven't seen" the Killing"but will watch it next Wednesday thanks.I loved "Luther" & when that killer in the mask appeared in the back seat of the car,I got such a fright I nearly fell off the couch.!!! More Luther please. Joanie

Hi Redgum. I'm glad other "oldies" like this genre. I also remember Michael in 6 feet under & he played the part so well,I was sure he was gay in real life'But he has been married ,so maybe not. I...

Joanie. I'd love to meet you over a cuppa. You sound like my sort of person. I'm (only) in my late 60s and I thought I must be a bit sick to enjoy Dexter so much. My favourite genres are crime...

I didn't realize there were books about Dexter,so I'll be looking out for them.I like all the Law & Orders & the CSI shows,in fact any crime ,court room or mystery shows.

My favourite genres are crime and suspense and Dexter certainly supplies that. There are so many twists and turns where you are sure he will be caught but he always makes it through. I agree Michael Hall is brilliant. I remember him in 6-Feet Under as an uptight, self-righteous doormat and can hardly believe it's the same person in Dexter.

Love the show! Is very well adapted from the books, If you have not had the chance to read them yet, i do highly recommend them. The screenplay is quite faithful to the essence of the story. I'm very interested to see if they will persue the cannible story arc on the show. Well cast though Dexter appears to be an older man in the books, but well cast all round.

Hi again, didn't realise there were books as well. As for the show though. I must admit that while it is aimed at a very narrow audience it does appeal to them and the ones it has hooked are very loyal to it. One of those shows you either love or dont, and most dont.

I have watched Dexter and loza I am not sure what you think of the show itself as your final comment 'serioursly sick but good' says it. Well, seriously sick anyway. It might be thought to be good by some as it has been running a while but then so has a lot of other crap and I am sorry but for me Dexter fits into that bracket! Seriously sick and not even good.

LoL, some of us do have a darker side and enjoy watching things that may disturb others, there is a reason why it screens later in the evening. As I said though the books are much better than the show.
