Oh dear what is it with the GG, is she going for some kind of record to see how many outfits she can be seen in! Today she really did make a fool of herself changing from the yellow outfit she wore to greet the US President at the air base and then turns up in the orange get up when she greets him at Parliment House? Even Julia couldn't help but comment! Our GG must have the most unbelievable amount of money allocated to her wardrobe for her to be seen in a different outfit every time. Surely as the representative of the Crown she should act with a little more decorum and a lot less like a " fashion plate" She had far too much to say again today at the air base when she and the President shook hands for such a long time. The PM looked uncomfortable standing there waiting. Quenten should realyy behave like a GG with dignity and not want to hog the lime light all the time.

Hey CAT17, I believe the GG's allowance when she took office was around $160000 on top of her salary and all the other perks that go with the position. I do not mind the that so much but rather the way she conducts herself. Also I cannot remember any previous GG that attended as many functions as the present one. It's almost as if she were a member of government like our much travelled Foreign minister. Maybe it is time to start thinking about a republic????

Hi paradox - previous GG's (at least most) certainly conducted themselves with some dignity (after all they are representing the Queen) but this old girl is all about being seen and what to wear! She has just about as many frequent flier points as Kevin ( who appointed her) He is a big poser too, loves the sound of his own voice and cant get in front of a tv camera fast enough. I shudder to think how this GG and PM will be have when Charles and Camilla come out here next year?? On the Republic subject I really dont think we will become one until the Queen is dead, Aussies love the Queen.
