We've covered the top 3 movies of all time here in the forums. But with the end of 2007 fast approaching as I write this, lets start to look at music and in particular what are your top albums of 2007?

Albums? I don't buy albums, i buy music online that way i can choose what songs i want. Albums are so old school as well
I like never use a CD player anymore, only to listen to the radio. My CDs are all dusty sitting in some corner and i don't think i'll ever bu an album again with technology increasing at this rate.

Nominating top albums is a very subjective thing and coloured by many factors not the least of which is age.
I'm 62 and I don't understand what the heck most of you are talking about - conversely you would no doubt think I'm crazy if I tell you my top album in 2007 was The Eagles Long Road Out of Eden.

Without question the best album of last year had to be MACHINE HEAD - THE BLACKENING
total kick arse from beginning to end, not to mention the killer tour that followed it.

I always look forward to the new Nick Skitz albums that come out...

On the other hand I also enjoyed Ministry of Sound Annual 07 and 08

Most refreshing new songs of 2007 would have to be from Silverchair.
Best covers album was Guy Sebastian's Memphis sessions.
Just about everything that came out of the rest of the world was really boring (except for Pink).

Justin Timberlake - FutureSex/LoveSound. Classic. Or was that 2006? It was still going strong in 2007 though!

I don't think you can overlook Brooke Fraser's Albertine. She's got a stunning voice and writes beautiful songs and music. You can't overlook opshop either, they rock. The Kaiser Chiefs are really good too - not sure if many people are listening to them, but brilliant funny lyrics and catchy sound.

I was just putting a playlist together on my ipod and it struck me that there were a lot of quality albums in 07. All up Kings of Leon, Because of he Times is the one that has probably got the most repeat listens from me. Arcad Fire's Neon Bible album was also good and from Australia I would have to put British India's Guillotine as the best debut.

I would have to agree with most posts on here - but a real stand out would have to be Natalie Gouchie (Australian Idol) what a voice.

Mark Ronson's album 'Version'. He produced both Lily Allen's and Amy Winehouse's album and the album features both these singers and more.
Lily Allen's 'Alright Still' pop with Brit attitude,
and I know Pink's I'm Not Dead was released in 2006, but it really only hit home after her concerts in April/May last year.

I liked Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black". My favourite song is "Rehab"... My favourite part of the song is the 'no, no, no' in "They tried to make me go to rehab, I said no, no, no."

My top album of 2007 would have to ne Kylie Minogue's X. After her absence due to illness its a great album and a great testament to her to produce an album in which many of the songs were written during some tough times she indured.

Its such a hard thing to do, top 3 Albums, we've had a lot of great releases this year, Australian and overseas. But I'm gonna have to go with Jose Gonzalez latest album "In Our Nature" I encourage all, and its a broad statement but really, i encourage all people to listen to these seductive Tunes. Its very chilled, generally family friendly and just sweet to play in the background of your life. Check it out.
