Australian farmers are trying to increase their tonage on food production to help the needy. This is well and good but if they supply it to african nations who pays fot it. Unfortunately these countries have a reputation of corruption, mismanagement and only lookink after a select few. Also some of these countries don't have a resposible government

Australian farmers are sending it overseas because they can't sell it here in Australia, so it is better than seeing it go to waste.
The Australian Government does not support or subsidise our farmers like is done in the USA, so one by one they are going broke or selling out to big companies. Also, until the government supports the agriculture industry, we are going to see produce imports increase, because there is less and less being grown here in Australia.
If produce has a blemish on it, people don't want it even though there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. So therefore, it gets thrown away.
So why not send it overseas to the poorer countrys, they will accept produce no matter what the outside looks like.

Just don't do it because maybe they are corrupt?

agree with you there on most points, especially when dealing with corrupt nations. Australia is always too generous when sending products to other countries and we finish up with the dregs here.
