Hi Cooki,
do you have the app Pinterest? This has heaps of ideas on how to redecorate on a budget.
Also, have a look through gumtree and freecycle, they often have furniture on there that is looking for a good home. Don't worry, just because it's free doesn't mean it is old and ugly. some things are decent. If you like vintage furniture then these places could help, a bit of tlc and a sand and most things will look as good as new in no time.

You don't need to spend a small fortune in Bunnings or Ikea to redocrate, the most you need to spend is time and imagination.

Amazing what you can find at the Op shop - magazines with ideas for decorating and so much stuff. We recently got an old wash stand that has come up a treat for the dinning room. Always lots of linen and doona covers etc - can use the material for cushions etc if not as linen and doona. The crockery can also be used for different things - vases and art work. Good luck.

I have just redecorated my room, by doing a white wash on the floor , bed and other furniture. I then went to vinnies and got lots of funky pieces of material and made cushions to place on my white bedding. I went on redbubble and bought some art on postcards and framed them, about 10. Then hung all my beads along one wall. All up it cost around $150. I think it looks comfy and inviting and I enjoy lying on my bed with all my cushion very relaxing.
