My friend just had a baby that was born with 6 fingers on each hand. They removed them right away by a simple surgery. Now she just has little scares, but you wouldn't notice if you weren't looking for it.

My grandfather had an extra thumb, he used to cover it with a black material cover my grandmother had sewn up! Ann Boylen had an extra finger, I think it was her thumb, so maybe there is something royal associated with it! I think it is relatively common so I wouldn't stress too much over it if I were you!

I had an uncle with six fingers on each hand. He was a carpenter and was able to carve the most delicate objects, it was a real help having those extra fingers!

My aunty in law had an extra finger attached to her left thumb. She is Chinese and very supersticious. She sends one of her children to stay with relatives if there are 13 persons in her house. She has always told me that the extra finger is very lucky. i don't know if that was true but see is still alive and in her 90s back in the Philippines.

Yep! I had a friend in high school who had 11 fingers- 5 on one, 6 on the other. I believe it was her left hand, but I'm not too sure. She was a pretty chilled and laid back person, and people never really ridiculed her. If anything, that's what made her the cool kid. She was so much fun to be around that people loved her for who she was, even though she was a little different than the rest of us.

Hi My little nephew was born with and extra finger and the doctor took him into hospital when he was 12 months old and amputated it. Maybe just as well before he got to school.

I knew someone who had another part thumb, with nail, like two branches growing out of the one truck. Weird, but everyone got usedto it.

I had a schoolfriend that had six fingers on his hands and also six toes on his feet. He was a nice friend but was ridiculed by many of the kids at the school that we attended. Sadly he was also nearly blind which made his life even harder. I was bought up to have respect for people and thus I was drawn to him and helped him when I could. Philip Mew

I don't have 6 fingers but during World War 2 My mother shared a house in Bournemouth, England with another couple, one of the couples daughter (Norma) had a small stub on each hand which was a 6th finger remnant that she was born with. Hey Norma where are you, you had a sister named Hazel??
