NSW Government,it's time to go

Government & Politics

A few months ago,I sat in the foyer of the NSW Parliament, waiting to attend question time,as I had never been there before.I saw some familiar faces come & go.I recognised one in particular,a highly respected Independent from the South Coast, who approached another person sitting near me & said to him 'this is the most corrupt Government ever',only confirming what my opinion already was.To prorogue parliament was the last straw! Surely only the most rusted on,superglued on Labor supporter would still expect to win this upcoming election - and I used to be a committed labor voter,as I believed in their policies & principles. All this is now long gone & it will take a long time to win back the trust of the people. The greatest shame though is that the alternative has little positive to offer.NSW is a basket case!

the ancient Greeks had a good system, the govt. would be selected by lottery from the people who would rule for a certain time and then another govt. would be selected by lottery. It couldn't be worse than the system that we have now where aledged representatives do what's right for the party and to hell with the country and it's people.

For the brain dead..I see...well of course you are entitled to your opinion. Please explain to me how Pauline has ripped off the Qld taxpayer, myself being one.

My first encounter with NSWs politics was in 1970. Corruption was rife then and has continued to this day regardless of the political party in power. One has to wonder why that might be, and who really runs NSW. To believe as a voter one has a say in any political outcome is naive.

Pauline Hansen was the greatest threat to both political parties and the real power brokers that run the country on behalf of the capitalists. So threatened were they, that they resorted to imprisoning her in the hope that her call for an Australia, run by Australians, for Australians would go unheard so they could continue down their capitalist path and rape the country to death.

In my opinion, it's a total oxymoron that the voter really has a say. The powers that be (capitalists), own both sides of politics, and hence can never lose at any election..that is of course, unless someone like Pauline comes along.

Who exactly are those pure bred Australians that you maintain should run this country? It seems that whenever there is a call for 'for Australians,by Australians' the implication seems to be that these mythical Aussies be comprised of Australian born white Anglo Saxons.Of course nothing is further from the undeniable truth,as virtually everyone here either has foreign heritage or actually (including myself) came here from somewhere else at some time. - PH has run for Parliament In Qld I think a total of 7 times, with practically no chance of election but has profited handsomely by virtue of her electoral allowance every time. Now it's NSW's time to be conned.

But you have another alternative, vote for Pauline Hansen, she's against the rot that has set in, in the two major parties. I know I would, if I could.
