Once you are starting to lose the few kilos keep doing what you have done but don't push yourself too hard other wise injuries will come and you will be back where you started. If you keep consistent you'll lose the weight you want and keep it off.
My brother has started to try and lose a bit of weight, he found it hard until he got into a routine and then he also started to build muscle. So it does work! Just remember the average person only lasts two weeks before they fall into their old habbits again, if you make it last you'll start to see results!! Keep up the good work!

Try eating just a hand full of raw pine nuts each day every morning. The Pine nuts breaks down any unwanted fat in your system. You will see a result within two to three weeks guarantee you lose at lease 2 to 3 KG GN

You know that diets don't work for a long-term success. The solution is really simple, you make a life-style change. You eat less calories, and exercise more. Thats it. The best tool for losing weight is to keep track of everything u eat, and stay under your 2,000 calorie a day limit. If counting calories seems hard...i downloaded a free app on my iPod that does it for me. its a great tool. it even records exercise. Its called ,"The daily burn tracker" Or use the weight watcher method...the points system, its really the same thing always, burn more that you eat and you will lose weight. Exercising can be fun, join a gym and take some classes like zumba, Pilates, yoga, bootcamp, cycling or spin class, boxing, ...i also keep a scale. some would say weighing yourself everyday can drive u crazy, but its a reminder for me to stay on track. Having a buddy system is also a good way to keep at the exercise since its proven to help keep u both on track. Also.tell people your on a diet...family and friends, anyone your around most. This way you stop yourself from social eating and tend to eat better knowing people are aware u are on a diet.

Yes, also I agree with what someone said about the weight of muscle. Maybe if your in your healthy weight range you can stop looking at the scales for a while. Most importantly of all....don't stress. It's the worst thing for you

I go for swimming and specific water exercises and a good sweat in the steam room. I think that sometimes the problem is not weight but tone, and swimming is excellent for toning. Please don't push your body too far and make sure you're eating lots of fruit, veg, proteins etc. Good luck

Do you live in New Zealand? If so, try to get hold of a book called 'Largely Happy' from your library. Written by Lynda Finn it explains in very simple terms how your body is programmed to fight fat loss and put it back on EVEN IF YOU STICK TO THE DIET. Weight Watchers offer a lifetime subscription don't they? Why would they do that if their methods worked?
They know perfectly well that you and almost everyone else, puts weight back on because that's what the normal body was designed to do.
One of the reason we see so many fat children now is thanks to the weight companies; they have done untold harm to generations. Pregnant women with a history of dieting can change the genes of their baby so that it put on weight on less than normal amounts of food - because Mama thought dieting was a great idea :(
These genes are passed on and, if the next generation has the same crazy idea, they'll be even fatter.
That and eating disorders such as bulimia weren't even known until the diet companies came along. They have a lot to answer for but why should they care?

It is not easy however it is not impossible, I believe to follow a healthy diet and exercises are the keys

Doing weights builds muscle mass and muscle weighs more....

But as soon as you stop - the weight goes back on as fat.

Count calories, a good site is www.calorieking.com.au - its free and really useful to monitor your intake of certain things. I try to keep my carbs down and i look at what ive eaten at the end of the day and usually my diet consists of 70% of carbs a day! It has pretty much every food listed, i love it!
I've lost 3kgs in the past few weeks by running on the treadmill so thats helped. Good luck, and never give up!
Diets dont work - just watch what you eat :)

Oh how I can sympathize with you. I have quite a few illnesses and the medications I am on cause me to gain weight very easily.
This last week in desperation I decided to join Lite & Easy. I started last Saturday and by yesterday I had lost 2 kilos. It is fluid I know but it is 2 kilos I am not carrying. Thrilled, in the afternoon I had a medical appt. in Sydney. He told me he was concerned I may be holding fluid and wanted to check my salt intake.
I have not used salt in my cooking for 50 years so this shook me. Today I made enquiries about this particular illness I have now.. The person I spoke to helped with all the information and told me that everyone on salt free diets are amazed by the amount of weight they lose.
Have you checked any of the foods you eat and how much salt they contain. My husband went through various foods we use on a fairly regular basis and I am shocked at how much is put into our food to increase the taste.
Maybe this could be your problem, I have to try it now and almost looking forward to it if there is a chance my weight will decrease. My doctors tell me it is my medications that are increasing my weight. They say it is fluid, very difficult to lose but add insult to injury by telling me I am shortening my life by carrying my weight.
Good lick to you

Women can take les Salt than males. Try to modify your intake but checking the labels on the food that you eat. You may eat a min. of 50g or salt or max. of 250g. Thats all ! Can anyone check that information - as I am not 100% sure. I suppose you are unlikely to go to the Women's Weekly Site but I recommend it.

All depending on what you are doing. Remember muscle weighs more than fat so if you are doing weights you have to take that into account. What you see in the mirroris more important than what the scales say. If you have hit a plateu try some fat burners from a sports supplement store, they will heat you up to help burn the fat (it's usually the Geranium oil) If you can workout in the morning it is best. Excersize first thing in the morning is 30% more effective if you can manage 4 or more cardio sessions a week with a heart rate of 140 to 160 at 20mins or more per session you will be well on your way to your end goal. Up your protien intake cause this helps feed the muscle too. Hope this has been helpful for you.

Hey GJ, I have read your message the only advice I can say is try and do some Cardio I found that works to try and get rid of that couple of extra kilo too many weights will only cause more muscle it won't help you loose that extra kilo or two

It's so hard to give an individual solution without knowing more of your circumstances.
You've probably heard it said many times before - diets don't work - I know that from personal experience too. It really needs to be a lifestyle change, a change that I kept putting off year after year until I ended up 158kg at 56 years of age, and decided that I didn't want to be like that any longer.
Eat healthily and exercise the best you can, and that's all you can do. I think we all know the foods to eat and those to avoid.
