WELL, CHARITIES MUST BE KNOWING THAT HUGE FUNDS ARE
' EARMARKED ' FOR CHARITABLE CAUSES BY GLOBAL CORPORATE GIANTS LIKE MICROSOFT , COCA-CLOA , CADBURY ETC ETC.

SO WHY NOT SOLICIT THE HELP OF THESE CASH RICH CORPORATE GIANTS RATHER THAN SOLICIT DONATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC WHO MAY OR MAY NOT BE ABLE OR WILLING TO DONATE ??? AND PUBLIC DONATIONS CAN PROVE MEAGRE OR PALTRY !!! SO WHAT IS DELAY ???

I agree with you Mr Kazi, corporate people can do much more to help those less fortunate instead of hoarding more money than they can spend in 3 lifetimes.Life is about giving in all areas not about greed.

A lot do - it's just not always advertised.

Only the egotistical ones or ones that have a need to show they are doing something good (often to cover for something they've done wrong) make a fuss over it.

Intelligent Giving. is what's so important as there is only so much to go around. My wife and I believe that we give to our home causes first and then look out, from there.

I agree but what I find really difficult is the amount of requests I receive both in themail and by phone for donations. There appears to be a substantial increase in such requests in recent years. What has happened to our affluent society? When the 'super profit' mining taxes were proposed a separate levy of say 3% to 5% should also have been implemented for charities. Of course the actual funding should be carefully monitored

WELL, RODDLES, THE RICH ARE GETTING RICHER & THE POOR> POORER

SO, CHARITY ORGANISATIONS LIKE THE RED CROSS MUST 'ACT' WITH A

'VENGEANCE' >>> LOOK AT THE PLIGHT OF THE HAPLESS AFRICAN KIDS,

THEIR PARENTS !!!

SO I HAVE DULY SUGGESTED THE RED CROSS TO 'WAKE-UP' & START

RUNNING " B A K E R I E S " THRU'OUT THE AFRICAN CONTINENT THAT

WILL BAKE FRESH BREAD & DISTRIBUTE THIS BREAD " FREE OF ANY

COST WHATSOEVER " TO ALL THESE HAPLESS AFRICANS !!!

AND THE RED CROSS CAN ALSO PREPARE ' LENTIL GRAVIES / CURRIES '

TO BE EATEN WITH THE FREE BREAD !!! THIS LENTIL DISH WILL ALSO BE

FREE OF COST !!! SO YOU SEE RODDLES , CHARITIES MUST ACT N O W

AS I HAVE SUGGSTED ABOVE & NOT DEPEND ON CASH OR IN KIND

DONATIONS ALONE !!! THEY MUST NOW 'THINK' ON BEHALF OF THESE

HAPLESS POOREST & BAIL THEM OUT OF STARVATION , HUNGER,

POVERTY, SICKNESS & DISEASE , ILLITERACY !!!

but charity is not all about money,

Some times giving a little of your time is better than giving money...sometimes its about giving toys, food, clothing or blood...other times its just about showing your support and raising awearness...

I have met so many people that think its all about money...its kinda heart breaking to see.

There are more charities than there are cash rich companies and don't we the public have the right to be able to donate if we wish.

I work for a charity organisation and realise that not all people can afford to donate, but those that do make a difference.

Their donations may sometimes be small but they do help in the bigger picture.

Help Caféstudy members by responding to their questions, or ask your own in Café Chat, and you will get the chance of earning extra rewards. Caféstudy will match these and donate equally to our two chosen Australian charities.

AMCS
Australian Marine Conservation Society are an independent charity, staffed by a committed group of scientists, educators and passionate advocates who have defended Australia’s oceans for over 50 years.
Reach Out
ReachOut is the most accessed online mental health service for young people and their parents in Australia. Their trusted self-help information, peer-support program and referral tools save lives by helping young people be well and stay well. The information they offer parents makes it easier for them to help their teenagers, too.
