There are a couple of books written by Jasvinder Sanghera, on the treatment of South Asian women. Everyone should read them the first one is Shame and the second one Daughters of Shame. She is based in England and I am sure the same things are happening here.
Please do not let that 'religion' here.

The hate towards Christians among Muslims is so obvious. I lost my trust in every Muslims on 9.11. I don't think I will change my view in the rest of my life especially that they doing stupid things for their Allah all over again. This is the lost case!!!!!

I`ve decided that any country should sort out their own problems. All outside forces should look after their own problems, because they sure do have problems
that urgently need to be solved.
Which is why i ask, who is it,that is actually running the countries??? In this case the Muslim have apparently volunteered to suicide if they don`t get their own way.OK,that`s fine, don`t look a gift horse in the mouth.
This post may seem to be unimportant, but the thin edge of the wedge is starting to look very wide.

I lived in Indonesia for 4 years which is a moderate muslim country. The problem is not Islam but small radical minorities. In poor countries they appeal to the disenfranchised who are poorly educated and that is how they get their following. These people have nothing to lose (literally) so are easy to stir up. Islam actually preaches peace and nonviolence and has many of the same values as christian religions. The problem is the Shariah law which often gets hijacked into being used in the situation you describe. Again this is all down to the Imam's and other decision makers' interpretation of the Koran.
