Have you ever noticed that all the Television stations carry the same story and even the same wordings. Admittally some have a slight twist but they seem all the same

Have to totally agree. Saw that fall by Kirstie Alley on the dance floor on Good Morning America segment at about 5 am and by 2 hours later had seen it repeated at least 4 times in "News reports" and continued later that day and evening when it was old NEW s. Seems that we are getting more repeats of news which is just the same old stuff off the news services.
Its cheap I suppose and does not cost the TV stations much.
The coverage of the cyclone in Queensland - how many times on each of the stations did we see the same bit of galvanised iron being blown down the same street, and at the same time interrupting the normal programs to repeat this same materioal over and over.

Even some of the game shows have the silence period with dramatic music playing for 10 seconds before an announcement is made.

The .... contestant........ eliminated ..... this week......... is...... (shot of one face)...... more wasted musical time ...... ( shot of another face) ...... more dramatic music..... and now a word from our sponsor..... What B****** time wasting garbage!!!!!

TV stations and their news services have lost the art if they ever had it of getting NEW s. The news reporters have lost the ability to ask information seeking penetrative questions.

So true Paul, have you also noticed that when one TV station makes a boo-boo all the others follow suit?

Another point to consider. This week channel nine is show this exciting movie. Your task is to count the number of commercials before you have lost the plot or get browned off with the interuptions

It seems some sort contest between Todaytnight & ACA which one will have their version of "exclusive" story that is then copied by the other, even to the extent that the same personnel are interviwed, its little wonder that these shows are a turn off.

Oh so true. You can usually change channels when the 2 current affairs shows are on and they are covering the same story...

I also noticed that they have ads running at the same time on all stations. Sometimes even the same ads.

Yup. Watch carefully - it's often the same footage and the "story" verges on advertising. That footage was supplied to the station as part of a press release, usually already cut for a spot, all the station have to do is wack their logos over the top and record a voice over from the supplied script. If you want to get your message across, make it as easy for the reporter as possible.

I thought everyone new about this by now...

I have also noticed that the reporters are not actually there but have been superimposed. Gteat thing about commercials on TV is that After tea I can prepare washing, next commercial saok dishes next commercial wash and drain next commercial dry and put away. then next commercial put the billy on next commercial prepare and drink said cuppa. If it is a very new popular movie can make love to my partner sorry too much detail
