I love a good massage I usually go to this sports guy and he is in touch and very dtrong big hands he isnt soft, I do get alot of relief from this type of body work, however i went to a different place this time and the young gilr didnt have the strength or confidence , it was all soft and senuous and slightly erotic, I was in heaven while she did it but I wasnt as satisfied after, I did get turned on and that felt uncomfortable especially when she asked me to roll over I guess I was just frustrated myself and any female touch was gonna send me off. I apologised and she said dont be silly happens all the time just relax into it, I did and felt awfull after with her having to put up with that . I havent been back.

I absolutely love massages but I don't have the money these days to have one. I have been unwell with depression, high anxiety, panic attacks & thoughts of suicide constantly. So I find that a massage can work wonders to calm my mind & thoughts. Even a foot spa occassionally helps, which is cheaper.

I couldn't live happily without massage, apart frm having osteoporosis, arthritis and spondylosis it relieves all the tension that builds up from the pain. I leave a much happier person. The diseases won't go away but I can make them feel better even if only temporarily, I cherish those moments.

i think it helps with circulation and it just makes you feel good, especially the feet,, a nice reflexology on the feet is wonderful :)

i actually dont really like massages that much to be honest, the main reason because i am very ticklish and cannot stay still for long! although recently ive had really sore back and neck muscles and a good massage really helps release the tension and stress!

I love a good massage! We get seated massages at work every alternate month.....only 15mins on the neck, back and shoulders, but it makes such a difference.
I also like to book a massage after running events......It really helps recovery in the days to follow.

I love to receive a massage. I often have back, neck or shoulder pain and find massage more beneficial and enjoyable than relying on ****gesics.
I had a severely disabled daughter, who died last year at age 16. As I have always cared for her 24 hours a day (and I will never regret a second of it and miss her every day) I still tend to have a lot of back, neck and hip pain/problems.
I would have massages more regularly but find it a bit expensive.
A friend has just qualified as a masseuse and gave me a voucher for Christmas (and has offered me a good price) so I am looking forward to more frequent massages.

Massages are not a luxury but part of a general health routine. I found that when working in an office they were necessary from long hours sitting at a computer as I would have neck'/shoulder/back problems. Now as a Fibromyalgia sufferer I have remedial massages fortnightly which give me relief from muscle spasms.

hello to all and i wish a happy and safe Christmas to all.
I do massage at markets sometimes, just neck; shoulders and head.
i find it relaxes me at the sametime. I would do it a lot more but due to arthritis in my hands it is difficult.
i was taught Chinese massage many many years ago and as i have no certificate i can not practise anywhere else.
would have loved to work on a cruise ship or holiday island resort.
oh well im greatful for what i know i can do.
it is something everyone should do for one another, the smallest amount of massage is a gift given and received.
blessing to all.

Working on a cruise ship would be terrific. I had a couple of massages when we cruised last year .... so relaxing.

Hi Kay,

I too have had some training in massage and would like to know more about how I can practice massage when I don't have a certificate or anything.

I have a disability (Spina Bifida) & have bad circulation as a result of the partial paralysis in my legs. I had my first massage when I went on a holiday a few years ago & thought it would be a good thing to do on an ongoing basis.

A massage therapist had started a practice close to where I worked at the time, so I started going to her & I'm glad I did.

In winter, my legs used to be anything from purple to blue, after a while they were actually starting to have bits of pink in winter before the massages started.

Massage is great for recovery and 'flushing' impurities out of the muscles. Also very good for relaxation.

Totally agree. I am quite active and a good massage can flush out all the lactic acid build up in my legs - painful but beneficial :)

I totally agree. Have had a massage every fortnight for over 10 years and notice how tight I get if I have to miss one.
