Thinking of traveling from Manchester to Iceland in July or August next year for about six nights after visiting relatives in the UK. Would like to hear from anyone who has been regarding flights, accommodation, day tours, weather etc. Iceland is very expensive so airbnb etc may be an option.

Hi Benji,

When I travelled around Europe, Iceland was my favourite country. Check out this tour: https://grayline.is/tours/reykjavik/golden-circle-classic-and-fontana-geothermal-baths-8706_100/

We went on this tour and loved it. Especially the geothermal baths which overlooked this gorgeous lake and we had them practically to ourselves. Beats the blue lagoon anyday. The tour itself was also great and we got to see quite a bit of Iceland.

Hope this helps! Have a great time when you do go!

Yes one day I would love to travel there as I have just recently read an article in the National geographic magazine about Iceland and sounds fascinating. I travelled to Norway this year as it is the country of my birth even though I have lived in Australia for most of my life so far. The scenery there was amazing and i think Iceland would be another interesting and scenic option for me.

We have booked to fly with Easy Jet, very cheap, from Manchester return.
Our accommodation is booked through airbnb and will cost just over $1,000 for four people which is a total bargain compared to hotels. The food will be expensive but we have saved so much with the above so should be able to enjoy some nice seafood.
Would still like to hear from anyone who has information about tours.
hope you get there one day William.
