I am interested in taking a cruise on a Princess Line Ship that visits Rabaul, other small islands in PG and also the Solomon Islands and Noumena. There are various departure dates such as May and September and I would like to know which is the best for weather conditions as the tenders are unable to be used if the sea is too rough. Has anyone taken a Princess cruise in this area. Many thanks.

I was for 16 days in Papau new guinea just recently with the Pacific Een.You have to bring an insect spray for the Zika virus. Also bring colour in pens and colour in books for small kids. Our cruise November wasn't rough at all.we didn't book the expensive tour with the ship to Rabaul we paid for a 3.5 hour small bus trip 40 Australian dollar.they drove us to the japanese Museum ,the lake with hot springs. Also we did from the P & O ship a 37 dollar bustrip in Alotau to the Cultural center we stayed the whole day has a coffee shop and dancing groups performed and a PNG singer with a guitar inside.
