My two cats sleep on my feet but, as soon as the birds start to sing in the morning, the male makes his way to my head. He taps my face, very gently, claws retracted. If I want a few minutse more in bed, especially if its cold, I keep my eyes tightly shut. He then tries to lick my eyes open. A cats tongue on ones cornea is a "unique" sensation. Any other amusing stories about cats wanting their breakfast?

my cat usually sleeps next to me so we wake up around the same time but if he sleeps somewhere else even if its just under the bed he will wake me up by jumping on my chest i think its his way of shaking me awake lol

Since my husband died in April, my cat has been getting me up every morning by licking and biting my head.

My cat is like an alarm clock...6am on the dot! She starts to scratch at my bedside table lamp, she has flung things off the bedside table too. She taps on my face like yours does. She used to pull her nails up the side of the book that I'd been reading that I have beside my bed, but now she has discovered that the lamp is much more effective! She does this until I give in and get up to give her her breakfast, then she leaves me alone! Then at 6pm she meows at me and won't leave me alone until I give her her dinner! But I adore her, over all she is a beautiful cat and would be devastated if anything happened to her.
