I've donated money to loads of charities & it's sad to hear or feel like it hasn't made a difference. I'm not sure who or if there is corruption with a lot of the world vision style but I've been able to become a regular blood & plasma donor so doing what I can when I can. I'm hoping everyone gives what they can

If you have an affilliation with a sports group, maybe you can encourage them to hold an event with the profits going to a Cancer charity of your choice.
A friend of my brother's held an event. All profits went to Canteen, an organisation that does a wonderful job supporting teenagers suffering from Cancer. They also secured a large number of donations of various items from companies they approached which were raffled. Considerring there wasn't a lot of people there because of the weather they raised a lot of funds.

You don't say what type of Cancer you have. Over the years I have donated to various Cancer Organisations that do research to find a cure for cancer, also find what causes them and find preventatve measures can be implemented.
I spent hours sitting with a Auntie of mine who eventually passed away with a Brain Tumor. My Mum taught my Uncle some basic cooking. Having been fully employed besides being a volunteer on Ambulances in a country area he had done other household chores but had never learnt to cook.
A friend of ours has for many years done voluntary Palliative Care, visiting patients at home giving what treatment is allocated him that can be administered at home. She also visits and spends long hours with patients in palliative care in hospitals, especially those who few or nobody visit. Until a few years ago she sometimes sat with patients all night. Due to her age, so no longer does so herself but ensures that some of the younger volunteers do so.

Help Caféstudy members by responding to their questions, or ask your own in Café Chat, and you will get the chance of earning extra rewards. Caféstudy will match these and donate equally to our two chosen Australian charities.
